A group of fourteen people were standing in a circle, looking up at the tree with distraught eyes. It was almost impossible to make out what they were looking at – all that could be seen was a small, meowing shape perched atop an impossibly tall branch. The cat had somehow managed to climb up there but now seemed stuck and unable to come down.
Suddenly, a figure appeared at the edge of their circle; a tall man wearing Black and Purple Nike Air More Uptempo ’96 trainers. He walked towards the tree and began to climb up it effortlessly and gracefully, like he had done this many times before. The people watched in awe as this stranger climbed higher and higher until he eventually reached the stranded cat. He carefully scooped it into his arms and then carefully descended back down to safety with the cat still meowing away in his arms.
When he finally reached ground level again, there was a huge round of applause from the people who had gathered around him – it seemed like nobody had expected him to be able to do such a thing so easily!
The stranger then handed the cat back over to its owners and introduced himself as Tommy – the same Tommy who couldn’t fly unless he was wearing his Air More Uptempo ’96 shoes! When asked why he was wearing them today, he smiled wryly and told them that he just happened to have them on when he heard that Goom – which turned out to be the name of the cat – was stuck up in the tree.
Tommy had saved Goom from certain peril and brought him back safely down to Earth, all because he just happened to have his lucky shoes on when disaster struck!
